Sifu Bobby Luttrull and Miss Polly Luttrull are leaving.

An article by Sifu Bobby Luttrull

It is with deep regret that I write this aticle. Miss Polly and I have been involved with the Dragon Claw Martial Arts School since the beginning and have been active in the school for over 2 years. We have watched the students grow physically, mentally, and spiritually and we are extrememly proud of all of you. But, life and situations are always in flux and sometimes change forces you to make decisions that you would rather not.

Miss Polly was recently hired by the State of Louisiana to be Curator of Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville, La. This is a dream job because it involves not only the application of her degree in Art History but a personal love of this historical site that has spanned over 20 years. I could not deny her the chance at being involved and working in a situation that most of us could only hope for. How often does God grant you the opportunity to live your dream? Due to the distance involved we have purchased a home in Ethel, La. and are now in the process of moving there. I will remain active in the Picayune area for a couple of more months while we get our personal business situations resolved and then I will make my final move.

As far as the Dragon's Luck business itself, we have sold our part of the partnership to Sifu Ron Scott and he now owns the Dragon Claw Martial Arts School outright.

I will be assisting and supporting Sifu Ron with the classes until my final move and will be attending the school periodically after that, especially during tests. What will the future bring? That is an unanswered question for the moment. As far as the school is concerned, there is no doubt in my mind that it will grow and thrive and continue to produce excellent martial artists. As for myself, I have personally been involved in the Lung Shou Pai martial arts for over 18 years and it is not somthing that will be dropped because it is too much a part of my life. Who knows, there may be a possibility that I may be involved in opening a school close to the Baton Rouge area in the next couple of years.

In closing, I just wanted to say that Sifu Ron Scott is an excellent instructor and he has been an exceptional friend and business partner. We have been proud of our involvement with them in all situations and look forward to continuing our friendship and watching the school grow. To the students I would like to say "Thank You". It has always been an instructor's duty and desire to produce students better than he is and it looks to me like that is happening in this school. Remember, you are the next generation so continue your training, make your goals and be the best person that you can be.
